Good pay and Benefits

I had good pay and good benefits however there is a huge turnover of managers and that created a lot of disconnect between employees and management. Poor communication and not always a lot of hours are some of things I did not like.

Good pay

Good company good pay, fast paced but day does go quick.. always room to develop if in right store. Lates and mornings available and if requested they will try best to work around you.

Redelijk zwaar werk voor een redelijk loon

Je verricht bij Aldi redelijk zwaar (alhoewel simpel) werk voor een relatief gezien redelijk loon. Standaard taken voor een supermarkt zoals vracht ontvangen, vakken vullen en kassa draaien zijn hier uiteraard ook van toepassing. Het redelijk zware gedeelte komt voort uit het feit dat je deze taken doet met maar 3 man personeel.

Overworked but Paid

The pressure to constantly work efficiently and fast is exhausting. The people are ok to work with but doesn’t compensate for the issues with the company. Seems as if they refuse to hire more people out of cheapness and overwork the employees they do have in turn. Which explains the turnover rate. The systems they use in there to delegate work are also quite ridiculous. Only allows one cashier at all times and pulls another person off the floor every five minutes to be the backup cashier. They only will have four people closing the store which is barely enough on a normal day but when people call out expect to be there at least an hour passed your scheduled shift. I think the company needs to do better overall as far as hiring and structure of work. Seems like a great company and the pay is good, but they need to stop putting that much pressure on the employees that are already overworked.

It was a great place to work. You know what your doing from day to day but might not get many hours

Ambiente stressante

Ambiente stressante, competitivo, viene richiesto troppo in poco tempo, paga nella norma ma senza nessun benefit. Si può fare per poco tempo, raramente ci saranno ambienti tranquilli

Better than mcdonalds

Virtually no possibility for promotion. High expectations with no support from leadership. Poor management structure. Nice amount of sicktime. Almost never a full 8 hour shift.

Toxic workplace

I’ve been working at Aldi for just about an year and I’ve learnt it’s probably the most toxic workplace ever! There are about a handful of managers that honestly don’t care how hard you work, they constantly Nitpick the smallest detail could be you may just take little longer than usual to finish a really heavy pallet and they’ll call you into the office ( informal meetings) The job hardly every appreciates it’s employees ( trust me) of its hard work or how it handles a difficult customer. Mangers are constantly micromanaged you. Watches you on camera, if your standing still not moving you’ll get called for meeting. The company focus way too much on disciplinary than it does on appreciation. It’s very demotivating and it’s growing to became toxic. You’ll be working 10-11 hours with just one 30min break. It feels like warehouse than it does as a retail store.

Understaffed and unreasonable workload

That's why some new hires only last one day. You can never work fast enough. The company is opening many new stores, you'd think they could put one more person on a shift.

Great

Challenging but rewarding, lots of room for progression and they really care for their employees. The hours can be long but the day flies with the work to be done

Terrible

Terrible work place, poor management and lack of work life balance. Your expected to do 10 hours shifts everyday with one day off. WouldNot recommend…..

Overall, great place

Great place to work as long as you are a team player. Hours can fluctuate depending on season, but you are allowed to work an extra day if you need more than 32. Would recommend.

Good benefits, decent pay

Expectations of absolute bare minimum amount of employees to stock, clean, attend self check lanes, cashier, condition, deal with all things that go wrong (sometimes resulting in loss of hours on phone with the help desk), curbside, any basic maintenance, and all office tasks of(my store was 2 people, 1 manager, 1 associate as an example) an entire grocery store on any day no matter how busy, cares more about loss than quality of product, management does not listen to concerns of employees and does not follow company policy regarding safety and privacy of employees (photos were taken, people were banned for less than 48 hours because of store image).

Fast paced environment

This is a great place to work. A lot of room to advance, and a lot to do. Shifts go by quickly because there is always something to do, they pay a decent wage and care about their employees!

Awful

Basic training is absolutely horrendous. Most aldis are full of toxic gossip as well and higher management is even worse. Have a problem? Might as well sort it yourself

Good place nice people good pay nice environment nice management nice team good hours for the most part, nice location classic workwear and environment
