This was the perfect summer job for a newly graduated high school student. I started as a host, and quickly worked my way up to a server. Though it was a simple job, the fast paced work environment taught me skills that I have carried onto other professions.

Good

It’s a nice place. Not a tight schedule. Nice staff i learned how to deal mean nasty ugly horrible comments from people and coworkers learned how to get out of shell

Fast paced fun workplace

Laidback, fun, kind of unprofessional but so are most food service jobs, only real issue I ever had was I kept getting scheduled for days outside of my agreed upon availability

Management+ Salary

If you want to work in a professional environment where you can ensure you will be financially compensated for the work you are done and won’t have to worry about doing work outside of your job description, do not apply here! Manager will yell at you for not doing work that you don’t get paid for just because of you don’t do it, they will. the only thing that somewhat saved this place our the coworkers. Yes there is a bit of drama but that’s it is, just drama, it’s easy to avoid and when you can you will find a group of very warm hearted people who although don’t think would ever admit to one another, care about each other.

Not great

Would not recommend working here. Serving during lunch was okay, but the night shift was terrible. Being open so late there are 2 dinner rushes. The tips were not very good

Mid paced

The tips are based on pay I could say with our pay starting at 2.13 the server has a lot of responsibilities in the kitchen and as the seating when there is no host.

Fun workplace

I really enjoyed working here, the staff was awesome and I made some really good friends. The only negative was the clientele just a bunch of old cranky people who barely tipped

Bad Management at the time

management at the time was pretty bad. If the supervisor for FOH liked the work you did, you would never be able to move to any other position. I wanted to move from a Host trainer to a cook, my supervisor would keep me back according to the BOH supervisor who did want me to train to be a cook. I had a bad experience the whole time. Over worked with almost no pay

Easy work environment, great way to gain experience

The hardest part of the job would be learning the computer system, other than that the job was like any other serving job. The work hours vary day by day, some days you may work 10 hours and others you could be cut within two hours. As a whole, serving at Applebees was decent

Okay job

This was basically just a job for me in high school. The job itself wasn't too bad other than the fact that I had to buss tables and host at the same time. Managers were pretty bad

Fun, engaging, laid back job

Awesome Management and Coworkers throughout my employment at Applebee’s even with strict sanitation guidelines due to the Pandemic at the time, never seemed to have negative effects on my managers and fellow coworkers. Customers would be angry because we had a wait list for seats in the restaurant, but nothing that we could help due to the Strict Guidelines due to the Increasing COVID Pandemic and its devastating effects. The most enjoyable part of my job was how friendly and welcoming each of my coworkers were daily and how I could just be myself while working at the establishment. That meant the world to me especially dealing with some upsetting health personal issues. Hardest part of the job was probably just having to explain my then health problems and ending up no longer being able to work at the time due to health issues that have since been resolved.

Productive work environment can be very toxic at times coworkers can be mean

Typical day would be me going in at 10:30 am or 4pm doing my morning set up then job as normal sit and clean some tables I’ve learned patience, most managers are nice my schedule has been messed up multiple times by my scheduling manger but I’ve put in my availability has brush it off multiple times and leaves it to others to fix but the gm is very good about having respect for the guests and employees very good culture and respectful about others always welcoming, the hardest part of my job is being in my feet all day but that comes with the job, I love being able to joke and have fun with my coworkers and guests

I was hired and have been there for 4 months and the Managers do not care. They would much rather have you suffer then go out of their way to help you. They have their favorite employees and if You not one of them they treat you really bad

Short breaks no team work

Very dirty kitchen and rude customers.

I was paid the bare minimum, given no breaks and kept after hours to clean. We were tipprd only ok and dealt with a lot of rude customers and unclean location. Management was ok, some were nice, some were awful.

High volume reward available

Stressful busy and understaffed but all said and done they offer a great rewards Bonus program. It’s a restaurant management job prepared to be physically exhausted when you get home

Fun and productive

Really nice overall great place it was always fun to work there and my coworkers were nice kind and helpful I would recommend that job to anyone and definitely miss being there.

High stree

It’s very high stress but can make good tips. It’s a great place to start when getting your first job. But it sucks dealing with rude costumers that think less of you

terrible work environment. don’t get paid enough. gm treats employees bad unless he has a crush on you.

Most people don’t show for their shifts. You don’t make enough money . Managers have favorites so unless your a kissa$$ you get treated bad. don’t recommend working here unless they get a new gm.

Fast and Rewarding

This is a great place to work for a part time job where you need extra money in your pockets without waiting 2 weeks. Most serving positions have great scheduling accommodations.
