I worked at Chili’s for 3 years beginning when I was 18. I worked as a hostess and they worked with my schedule to continue my career studies. Fun and friendly work environment

Decent workplace

Not a bad job to have if you’re needing extra money. Host does the job of busboy also which wasn’t great. Staff were all fun to work with. Managers are decent as well

Draining and lackluster in purpose

Working at chilis as a host is quite a good first job it brings in a decent amount of cash and the environment with the staff is mostly nice but what makes it draining and lackluster in purpose is the management and how they act towards their employees.

Okay

The environment was stressful I barely had any help and the customers were rude. Very quick turn around here. Mangers were either friendly or pushy and expect too much of you. Good first job overall

Productive work environment welcoming customers and keeping track of waitlists

A typical day at work is greeting customers, asking party size, and seating parties to servers and rotating through a good system that keeps customers satisfied and servers not overwhelmed. I learned how to solve problems quickly. The hardest part of the job was keeping waitlists short and customers happy. The most enjoyable part of the job was seating people and cleaning tables.

I love working at the airport

Best job ever, work life balance, enjoyed coming to work. Management was a bit crazy in the beginning but as time went on we all worked together like a team

Fun workplace!

Was a good first job while I was in college. Pay wasn't great but it was a fun environment and the company had some nice incentives for those who worked there a while.

staff is great and like a family,, managers not so much welcoming and make everyone wanna quit with their rulesRan by amateur managers and could be done better

Worst job.

The staff was very careless, the cooks were super unsanitary. The place was always dirty. Poor management and service. They threatened to terminate me many times when I could not go into work due to family emergencies and they are very careless. I’m glad I found a job I am truly happy at 😁 (also definitely not flexible with the schedule).

I enjoy working at this location because the managers are really great and the service that is given back to the guests is awesome. Always a good shift

Not good

This place is not ran well corporate runs the show to the ground and they keep on changing everything in hopes of higher traffic they ruin everything that’s good

Great workplace!

Good management, hard workers, and overall great company to work for. Love the support they have for St Jude and love telling guests about it. There’s always the odd rude guest, but most are really nice and you get to know the regulars well. Family oriented feeling.

Environment

Love the people that I worked with and the environment was always fun. Would recommend workings here while in school. Flexible scheduling. Easy work.

Unorganized and underpaid

Worked at this location for a bit and was paid minimum wage as a host which is understandable, but then was expected to bus tables as well as maintenance of the bathroom without being paid tip!

Relaxed

Very relaxed if it’s slow, management is very nice and really cares if you communicate your needs. Rushes can be stressful but the pay is fair. Better if you are a social person.

Typical Franchise Restaurant

The restaurant is fun and an easy job, it can be stressful at times, in the heat of a rush, but there is a big team at Chilis to help support you. Staffing do not last, from Head Managers, to the hosts.

Not good

Not good work place terrible staff and management which eventually ended in me leaving, I was ignored with issues and do not like this location anymore

I’m a host and it’s simple, clean tables no tips though! All the coworkers are really sweet/ nice, so are the managers they will make sure you are okay to work! And if your sick they will cover you!

Fun enough

Good enough fast paced decent pay , favorites by manager at times but worth it on weekend nights . Typical gig and some staff tupOut. Idk what else to say

Unprofessional and lots of miscommunication

Miscommunication issues were frequent. For example, during the majority of my time at the company I had no way to clock in, did not have access to my schedule, and did not have a paycard. In addition to that, managers often seemed confused when I arrived because they weren't aware of my shift. I ended up being fired only two weeks in because I "didn't show up for a shift" that I was not scheduled for.
