I’ve worked here for 2 years, it seems that it’s getting worse, because a lot of people are leaving and finding better work places. The service is not up to standard, and the Head Chef, the 2 Sous Chefs are more worried about taking time off.
The experience that I had was overall very positive, I had an excelent manager but the rest of the management team didnt really make the best decisions for the employees
take care of all kitchen related activities, help the chef in running a smooth shift. management is good but it takes time to grow in the company. i have more experience .
On a typical day at work at Hilton Grand Vacation Club Parc Soleil is as any restaurant, super busy. Everyday is a learning experience with all the different customer that we take care of. Management is great, but it has its up and down. Love my co worker. The hardest part of my job as a chef is having to fired or reprimand any of my team member. The part that I enjoy the most of my job is watching that big smile of the guest once they get their food.
not so great with communication
In my short time at the Hilton I advanced to a supervisory position. I ran the lounge kitchen which also prepared appetizers and salads, desserts for steakhouse. My kitchen was also responsible for room service orders. Although traffic was sometimes an issue, working at the Hilton was a good move for me.
