No direction, some mismanagement

Fulfilling work. Plenty to learn from. Decent pay. Limited prospects for growth but if you flatter the right people, you never know.Needs better management. The organization has a trend with getting people who would never get into leadership positions at well-run organizations into leadership positions. And then they scratch their heads about why nothing changes. Management tends to care more about the “bottom-line” than productivity or quality (but I guess that’s the same everywhere). The HR department is incapable of finding good talent. “Talent Acquisition” is not their forte. Neither is managing the “Human Resources” they have working at the organization. Heck, they can’t even send the cafeteria menus out on time every week, so we can’t expect much more. However, they do seem to be doing well for themselves, so I guess there’s little to no motivation for them to do any more or better work when they’re making good money anyway.

Ottimo ambiente di crescita

Rispetto ad altri ambienti produttivi, Komatsu è un'ottima azienda che punta alla crescita del singolo, prima con la formazione e poi rendendolo sempre più responsabile in linea di montaggio. Unica pecca sono la lunghezza dei contratti a tempo determinato prima di diventare indeterminato...possono passare anche 3/4 anni

Established company but gets stressful at times due to people shortage

Great pay and benefits but due to people shortage, you have to bear other people's jobs at times and think about it even when you are on vacation. Some managers are not advocating people engagement. Do well in your position and you get stagnant. :-D

Great place to work

Everyone was pretty nice and lots of opportunity for moving up! I was placed on sub assembly but after I got noticed within a day I was on the assembly line.

Stay away from here

Don't get a job here for your own sanity. Literally the worst factory in existence yet they think they're the only factory in the world? Heavily inflated ego of pea-head shaped supervisors who vape in the toilets, one rule for them another for us.

Management are the issue here

The pay is decent and you get loads of holidays. Those are the only positive points about Komatsu.Nepotism is rife here and the upper level managers still think its the 1960s.No consideration for personal circumstances. Forced overtime and warnings for being ill are commonplace.Constantly bumbling from one disaster to the next because the supervisors and above are not willing to listen to new ideas or solutions. It basically a "we've always done it this way" mentality.All this compounded by a ruthless and cut throat HR department who will sack anybody for breathing in the wrong direction.I lasted 3 years before I threw the towel in.

Shocking management

Managers have no clue what they are, promised a stable job even though it starts as a temporary contract, told they aren’t a hire and fire company then as soon as things went slightly down hill they sacked 70 people and when they announced they were sacking these people the manager started laughing in the meeting. Team leaders who only previous experience is making coffees and donuts, supervisors son getting made permanent before other lads that deserve it more and constantly being moved areas as can’t do the jobs on 95% of stations due to his size. Overall the pay is decent but everything else is shocking, the whole management structure needs a reshuffle right down to most of the team leaders.

Good pay but no progression

Good pay, 4 and a half days a week, but very clicky. If you're not in with the team leaders you'll get no where. One minute there's 2 hours overtime every day, the next they are getting rid of people. They'll tell you it's a job for life and its a family orientated business, but really they're not bothered.

Most inept management

You will never work at a more inept company, team leaders are yes men and look out only for themselves, the supervisor is the most uneducated, inept weasel going, has completely ruined a once decent company.

Great experience

I'm having a lot of fun working at Komatsu. People have been supportive, my goals are clear, and they provide a lot of flexibility. I like the mix of being in the office and traveling a bit.

Hard work, decent pay, great lads.

Workforce are a very good bunch of lads - management is a bit clueless at times. It is hard work however, the pay is competitive and you can make really good money when overtime is on.

Productive

The pay wasn’t competitive and it was usually 10-12 hour days. It was demanding work but the people there were fun and always helped out so it made time go by
