Good company to work for

The company is overall very good to work for. Salaried management has good benefits and there is lots of room to move up.They promote department heads to salary management very often.

Good company

Good company to work for overall. Typical retail environment. Changing of regional leadership have caused some issues but at the end of the day, it’s all about creating a great shopping experience for the customers.

Terrible

awful job, lots of favoritism and low pay. i worked there whenever i was going through school, and even then it was horrible pay.i would not recommend to anyone.

Decent

I worked as a grocery clerk at Kroger for over a year, and my experience has been fair overall. The team I worked with was supportive, and I learned a lot about the retail industry and customer service. However, the pay is average, and the hours can be irregular, which makes it challenging to plan personal activities. Overall, it's a decent job with its ups and downs, but it's definitely taught me valuable skills.

Excellent place to work I

The most enjoyable part of working at krogers was the entire company, the support you as a employee, they help develop you from dayb1 to grow as an employee every day.

Over all, I think the company us a solid place to work, if you can fit in with the niche.

My personal experience was not a great one.I was ready to learn my job master it and eventually retire doing it.But unfortunately I never had that chance to even fully learn my job properly, as I was assigned to a brand new TRAINER who was high strung and like to yell at you at the most stressful times as well as demean you at the same time.It didn't go very well for my learning to safely maneuver the 13ft pallet Jack Machine. At a very fast pace.So in the end of the very short training period, they did not certify me on that particular machine. Yet the following week they trained me an a different standing pallet jack Machine, but afterwards decided that that Machine was not a good fit for my work area, which I had no problem operation in the area and was also able to operate it quickly and efficiently on the very fast paced loading dock.So needless to say, that job opportunity was not a good fit for me because of all the training issues.

A thankless job where your best is never enough, and more tasks continue to be added to your to-do list as they constantly cut hours and let slackers get away with doing nothing

Pharmacy Pay

Pharmacy technicians do not make enough money for what they have to go through. The company cares about their corporate numbers only. Technicians are overworked and underpaid.

Used to be great company culture

I worked there for 10 years. It started out a team oriented environment. Over time it became more about doing more with less. Not enough people to cover shifts. They do try to hire more people, but it has a high turnover.

The best job

I loved working at Kroger. It was a perfect job while in high school. I was able to co-op where I was able to leave school early and start my shift. I loved the program.

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing. Low pay. Over worked no help. Managers over turn is constant. Never introduce their selves never said good morning. Only say something if something not completed. Never can take a break as no help. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Lack of help and the way managers talk down to you What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Stressful. No one looks happy anymore What is a typical day like for you at the company?Come in early shift. Try to get everything done that is expected of me. (Which used to be 3 of us) wait on customers which are always nice. And a lot tell me your the best. Always happy always have it done the exact way we want it

Management isn't capable or responsible.

Typical day at work was avoiding toxic managers and supervisors. Reporting managers to HR when inappropriate contact was made. The workplace culture was toxic and unbearable. The only enjoyable part of the job was when you were alone and delivering out by yourself.

Management could be better

No fond memories. It was always a ton of chaos and you never knew how many hours you worked. The friends you made were great and made work days bearable.

The leadership's lack of clear direction and communication has resulted in constant confusion and inefficiency within departments. The absence of a structured development plan for employees has led to dissatisfaction and high turnover rates. Additionally, the inadequate resources allocated for projects have severely impacted our ability to deliver quality work on time. Overall, the company's disorganization and failure to prioritize employee growth and operational support make it a challenging environment to achieve success.

Fun place

Worked here in college and loved my coworkers. It was a chill environment and there were opportunities to move up in the company also just a good place to get some work experience.

Frustrating

Hard to get breaks. Management tends to be decent. The lead is amazing but it’s hard to come by hours because they are always cutting them on us.
