Overall, OSF is a good place work with competitive benefits and pay. Atmosphere is generally centered around providing quality patient care and there is a sense that they value employees.

Fun

Worked well, 5 days a week, learned a lot, management was fine, hardest part is certain cleaning details, enjoyed the culture, ok income, guaranteed hours

Good place to work

I have worked at OSF now for approximately 6 years and enjoy the work and different jobs each day. I cannot say anything negative due to my good experiences.

Great place to work and great training experience. Management is friendly and good sources to go for concerns or questions. Pay is comparable to other hospitals in area

Horrible

Management is nonexistent, no accountability for anyone, lowest paying hospital, 0 care for their employees. Just a headache in general, currently looking for a way out.. Dont let the sign on bonus trick you, its not worth it.

No services

Too much management . Different rules for different people. Lots of promises never filled. Ruined small town hospital worse than it was. Less services available than before . Lie about many things

Unimpressed

Unimpressed with the company as whole. They are too busy enriching their executives, demanding providers only refer within OSF company (to further enrich themselves) and slashing bonuses to buy failing hospitals in an attempt to (you guessed it) make the top dogs more money. “Amen” is just a tax break. Poor pay, unimpressive benefits - limited health coverage unless you see an OSF provider (still with high out of pocket costs). A greedy organization.

Great coworkers and terrible management

It's a patient centered health care system that care little for its employees. No good wage increases and no good reason to stay. Harsh PTO policy that makes you use 2 days regular PTO before being able to use your sick time.

Good benefits and place to grow

I worked here for nine years in clinical IT applications. It was a great place to learn and grow in technical skill sets and the benefits were very good.

Staff. Good work ethic

Staff is fun to work with. But upper staff doesn’t seem to care enough .. it’s a good place but u got to know what ur doing. It’s fast paced. No break sometimes

Over worked, under paid

Never have the supplies needed, all about getting people in and out and not about quality of care. Get in trouble for sitting for a few minutes. Higher ups constantly breathing down your neck

Lots of stress not enough pay

Have worked as a supervisor for years, 4% raise and more work added every year. Unreachable metrics and . No bonuses for the employees but continues to acquire or build new properties

Stressful

Stressful to say the least. I’m not really sure what else to say besides the normal hospital experience? Understaffed, underpaid, and employee areas are not very clean..

Typical corporate

This is a typical corporate hospital. It is a "non-profit," which essentially means that the CEO just gives himself and his friends a little raise whenever there's too much money. Unethical monetary decisions made with the patient's money

Great coworkers

Good people to work with. Good work life balance. Knowledgeable staff and physicians. Great physicians to work with and learn from. Lots of high risk procedures done with great outcomes.

It is okay job

It was an okay job. I used to work at the clinic. I would say average. The pay was low but I really liked my co-workers. I left due to pay and work load.

This is a very good job and it is easy to get the days off that you need because there are many employees. The pay is good and it is pretty laid back and easy

Overworked

Supervisors are great but the higher ups are awful. They just keep on expecting more and more with very little staff. Unfortunately OSF is no longer about the mission, just money and how many patients can we call ours, doesn’t matter the quality of care or if they are even seen.

Friendly people, good culture

It is a nice environment to work in. Everyone is friendly and the culture is very healthy. They are good at giving you opportunities to advance in the company

Horrible place to work! The management is corrupt and will talk bad about the other employees.

Worked as a Public Safety employe for over a year. The management is horrible! The supervisor will call you into the office to talk bad about others.
