Overworked slave

They cut ur hours, management is RUDE and crazy they overwork and expect you to know and do everything and the pay is below minimum wage you’ll get like 12-$13 the tips are split between all employees

Need better pay

Needs to pay their staff better. They wanted me to hire people for minimum wage but then complain when people quit due to low wages. Food quality has gone down hill.

Good Starter Job

Good place to work. There are some issues, but overall the hours and pay are good. I made $11-13 there across the years as a student and worked 35-40 hours consistently. Some of the people are great others not so much.

It is an ok place to work . With the buildings that have the dine-in and drive thru, you will most likely stay busy most of your shift. Plenty of positions to cross train in .

Fast-Paced and Friendly

Panera prides themselves on being "warm." In general, the atmosphere is quite nice and friendly between the customers and the employees. Have to admit, you have to be fast and efficient at your job. We never have downtime and always have to hustle.

Challenging but rewarding

Always a challenge but could be very rewarding! Loved training individuals to meet their highest potential! Loved learning to bake aswell. Wouldnt change my experience. Hot bread!

Low pay

I would have loved to stay here due to the friendliness of staff, but unfortunately this company does not believe in fairly compensating employees for the workload they are taking on. I found myself underpaid and often doing the job of 2-3 people.

Some good, some bad

I like my manager, but some of the leads are horrible. They like to belittle, go on repeated vape or smoke breaks, and when questioned by their leader, smooth talk their way out of it. The team is only as strong as its leaders. Great company, great place, but hope someone sees through that person's true colors one day!

Not worth it

It's a fast food joint so it's not going to be the best job ever. The job itself is easy, there is flexible scheduling, and you can meet a few good people. So now the cons... The pay isn't livable by any means, even with tips, so it's best for highschool or a side gig. The BOH was nasty. Some "grownups" acted like high schoolers. There were only a couple good managers I've met my entire time here. The one review is right, some employees do talk s&$# on the headsets. Customer base is ok. Real and serious issues are never taken seriously, I've seen it happen. Company cares more about costs than staff wellbeing. As an associate you don't even get free meals, it's half off. Which is nothing compared to our menu pricing. You don't have benefits and what you do get is barely anything. Keep your head low, do your job and get your check. My sanity is sooo much better since I left and I'm making much more money!

irresponsible management

I am overworked most of the time. We don’t get extra pay on holidays and we don’t get paid extra for overtime. Some of my managers are rude and lazy. My hiring manager barely gives me hours but is “urgently hiring”.

Interesting and fun workplace

I love it here, it’s so easy I have no complaints the customers are great literally everyone the mangers and everybody, the only thing is it does get kind of busy

it was ok

it was ok. very busy costumers are mean. pay is not the best and definitely want to quit multiple times throughout my shift. it is a good job for a high school student

This company has some of the worst safety practices when it comes to employee and customer health.

Management does not care about covid or other related illnesses especially during the holidays. If you work for a franchise they practically completely ignore any requests you make. DO NOT WORK HERE!!!

It Got Bad...

Upper management changed about a year ago, and in that year things have gotten so much worse. Our old GM was super kind and understanding, treating us as more human than our new GM's could ever really see us. The cafe is now perpetually understaffed, making it difficult to want to come in much less handle the stress of doing our jobs once we're there.Upper management also has questionable judgement when it comes to new hires. Most new hires have been incompetent at best, and ACTUALLY criminal at worst.I've been told on numerous occasions by the GM that I could be working harder if I stand still for more than a couple seconds after a spree of completing tasks.I've been made to feel bad for calling off when I was sick plenty of times.Not only is the management unacceptable, but the new location has been a nightmare on our understaffed days.I could go on, but this already lengthy review will probably get taken down. If you see this, run away from Panera and don't look back. Seriously, you won't regret it.

Unprofessional and unorganized management

The job it’s self was pretty easy but the management made it very hard to get your job done. Especially corporate, they were awful. The general manager didn’t know what was going on and refused to work night shifts so half of his employees never really interacted with him.

Managers are careless and very unhelpful Your expected to do everything on you own even if it’s not you area or part of your job Constant scheduling problems always short staffed.

Fast paced

Workers all know their job and how to work together during rush. Typically two rushes a day at lunch and dinner and ran very smoothly. Some managers help out which makes it easier on the associates.

Fun workplace

Great work place environment, generally relaxed vibe. You receive an employee discount. People will help you when you ask. Just come to work with a positive attitude.

it's okay

it's exactly what you would expect.it can be super busy at times but has its slow moments as well. thankfully you get a meal at the end of each shift.
