I’ve learned a lot In my time working there. It can be a fun working environment along with also being a learning experience.

It taught me good customer service and being able to interact with customers in all types of scenarios. It was a fast pace learning environment also teaching you how to multitask. Hard parts of the job were being understaffed and stocking out a lot of items.

Low Staff and Cross Training

Coming from another Panera, where everyone was cross-trained, I noticed most people would stay at the stations they would be hired into. While this is great at building proficiency, it was terrible long run when employees would quit and none of the current workers could help fill in.

The employees are amazing and you feel like a family, but the management is no help.

Basic Food Service

It was a standard food service job with several different positions to work. I loved being able to both zone out while working the dish pit and be hyper-focused while working the drive-thru area.

Fun starter job

A fun fast paced work environment to work in. Felt part of a team, room for advancement with benefits offered. Good management when I was there. Delicious food with a good meal discount too.

Nothing extraordinary, nothing horrible

Just your basic minimum wage food industry job. Managers while I was there were great with working with your schedule if you are a college student as I was. My schedule would change nearly every semester. By the time I left I had been trained in three different areas.

Enjoyed my PB Experience

I worked here for about three years off and on and it was a good experience. My pay steadily increased over time and loved my coworkers. Management was okay for the most part.

Okay place but there are easier jobs

Mornings sucked, especially on weekends. Demo- cranky old people who lounge around all day. 15/hr. Aren’t too flexible with scheduling. It’s was lots of work have to work as cashier and barista plus annoying customers.

Great Company with Amazing Benefits and Morals. Awful Management

The company all together is a wonderful company to work for that gives back to the community at each location open and does feed its crew for free. Schedule, using PTO, company policy's etc all are to find and understand.The management at my store in particular were not the best. Two would consistently sit in the dining room and watch us struggle with orders.

Cool first job

I worked here while I was in high school some years ago. Really fun place with great employees/managers. Flexible scheduling, lots of opportunities to grow.

Worst Job

Worked at Panera for about 2 years. This is by far the worst job since there is no movement, you are told they give you free meals but it is a lie since no mangers want to ring them in. Would not recommend.

Friendly and caring environment

Great place to work. Ongoing training. Team work is encouraged and fostered. Hard work is recognized and v rewarded. Great discount on meals. Employee assistance program. Health and dental benefits after a certain smount of time.

Fun but…

Loved the compensation. Loved most of the management and people I worked with. The only thing I disliked was how reluctant the management was to punish people who had done things, especially repeat offenders.

It is what you make it, good for partime

Sometimes overworked to pick up the slack i you're a hardworker or no shift with someone who slacks. Employees can be fun to work with if they pull their weight. This is an ideal job for high school or college kids.

Very upbeat, place to work the employees have positive attitudes

There are many different stations to work at and Panera bread the more you know the more you do know, and becomes much easier; you become much faster at it. After you are comfortable, I know each station the quicker you can get the customer flow to a minimum and the more you can help other employees learn as well. Creating a very solid, and quick customer, service speed

I was an allstar good employee. always showed up for my shift, always early, always stayed late. Planned on moving up to a shift lead but my GM wouldnt make me one.

Decent for a first time job but not for long term. Treatment varies from location to location.

Job is ok for a first time job while in highschool or during college. I would say longest duration should be 1-2 years. Coworkers are usually very kind and respectful, however there can be some pettiness usually spurred on by poor working conditions. Management is almost always either someone who doesn’t know a thing about your job or who is a decent person but overworked and it reflects in their work. At the end of the day, this company is like much others: money comes first. On the plus side they are usually very accommodating with scheduling. Horrible benefits though and pay not worth the multiple tiles you’ll be taking on.

Excessive and trivial work while getting screamed at

Expect to be working and closing several jobs at the same time while understaffed. Closing could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 1/2 hours. In top of this, they do not care if you have allergies because they will force you to work with that substance. Also they won't do anything if you get SAed, even if there are cameras and witnesses.

Coworkers are a lot of fun to work with and customers are generally nice. Management can be hit or miss, although the worst seem to move on pretty quickly.

busy work environment

Tougher entry level job but it does look better on the resume. Definitely a busy work environment as they keep you busy at all times but it is a rewarding and fun experience meeting new people.

Best fast casual restaurant to work at

Very fast paced as any fast food place would be, but operated well. Managers step in when needed. Easy to move up if you want to trainer or assistant manager.
