Culture has changed from being concerned with associates to only being concerned with numbers. Employees with 10 years of experience are leaving the company because of the culture change, and the funny thing is: Management is happy with it because they can pay someone less to do a similar job. Thing is the work quality is not similar, lots of corner cutting, the more corners you cut, the quicker you will be promoted.

Horrible management

Just bad, don't do it. HR won't help you. Union and management continue to have a power struggle while everyone on the floor suffers. Digging a hole with your bare hands is better work.

Good place to work

Hired as a CDL A driver and delivered medical supplies for a medical supply contract Penske had. Very easy palletized pallet jack deliveries into hospitals and dialysis clinics. Unfortunately they lost the contract and had to find work elsewhere.

Good place to build a work history

Its a good place to get your resume up and get experience. plenty of positions available all the time. the benefits are substantial compared to other companies. cash balance, 3 weeks PTO, promotions are there, 401k with decent company match, major holidays off, good discounts in house and on other stuff like rental cars, car purchases, appliance discounts. Its almost impossible to get promoted to any substantial position. Good employees get ignored and looked over. The company seems to care more about the customers than the employees. Voicing opinions or concerns about your future don't go anywhere, lots of empty promises and smoke. might just be my experience but its very disheartening and unencouraging. They will take advantage of you doing your best to get promoted.

Good equipment, good work environment

Penske is a good place to work, Managers know you and take family needs into consideration, As a large company it tries to find suitable work for you if customers exit and new customers enter their system

Large corporation many job opportunities, Managers respect you and the job you do. Safety is a top concern at Penske, effort is made to give you a safe work place, Unpaid leave is available

Not much paid time off, Benefits are good but cost above average, Available shifts may have you working odd hours (drivers), If they lose a contract your next assignment may be hard to accept

Good place to work

Driving for Penske is a good company, you can make unlimited amount of money if you don't mind working. Work week can be 4 to 6days of week. A very relax Work environment.

Decent warehouse but hours get long

Nice clean and fair paying business. However like most warehouses you agree to one length of shift (10 hours) and before long you are stuck work 13-15 hour shifts uncertain of when you actually will be able to leave. Good for money when you are young and injury free.

High Stress Low Pay

This is a great job for a young employee. However, it is an extremely fast paced, high stress job at what is considered one of the least organized locations in the company. The pay was low until a recent company wide pay raise. It still pays less than it should, but is now somewhat competitive for the industry.

Good pay good job

Decent pay plenty of overtime do your job and go home you can really do your own thing here and nobody bothers you as long as your doing your job everybody pretty much stays in their own lane

Good money sometimes, No weekends

Good place to work, you have good weeks and bad weeks. Good weeks you’ll run your butt off and bad weeks you’ll hardly run at all. Daily minimum that’s not anywhere near where it should be and very inconsistent loads. Your pay fluctuates, greatly depending on loads available.

Hypocrites

They will preach the usual until it comes time to deliver the load. Then you will not matter if you ever did at all, you will be a number filling a seat.

Productive and easy going

As I entered Penske at an Entry level Tech, I enjoyed most of the time I spent here. Not only was their training provided and paid for, but within less than a year I was promoted to a Tech 2 and given a promotion. This is a great place to start your early career, or even experienced career, as I was always provided answers with any questions I had.

This company dont care about its Workers!

I was with this company for nearly 7 years. I was a Driver . There was no raise for nearly 3 years. And at best was still under paid. Management was terrible. Camera's in truck was terrible, just blink then you get the treatment .STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Don't work here

Horrible management, even worse HR. Paychecks wrong every week. Safety bonuses "forgotten." I learned not to trust the company. Hardest part of the job was getting in contact with management to tell them your check was short AGAIN. All they do is lie. Good luck with HR, they don't help you at all. They'll lose their contract and drop every employee there, no help to relocate you.

Terrible management

Management absolutely ruins this location. The other technicians are probably some of the best people one could meet. That is the only reason I stayed so long

Rewarding and fun workplace

Penske is a great company that really tries to listen to and take care of their employees. The pay is great and the work load is manageable. Management can be hit or miss, but that’s with any company.

Not good and dangerous penny pincher

I worked here as a driver my whole experience was not good so I can honestly say that I found out all the bad and none of the good. I was terminated because Penske lost the account I was working on and they gave a weeks. Notice They didn’t give any option. I show up every day early I go above and beyond and they hang me out to dry they never serviced my truck they never had the right bills of Ladin and they never picked up there phones

be careful with management

a lot of lies from criteria of mandatory OT to simple job duties. things change daily.. turnover is so high your constantly dealing with new employees and their performance effects your bonus.

Work for 5 year good environment good people management can be a pain depending on who you get but overall good place good benefits good people would suggest
