Was a fun but fast paced work environment, definitely a good choice for a teenager’s first job. Pay wasn’t terrible, it’s easy to work your way up to a manager too.

Easy First Job

Very easy first job for a teenager. No complaints. Did this while also doing another internship. They were helpful in scheduling me correctly to be able to meet all my hours.

Great place but you have to be dedicated

I loved working there I was an employee for over 2 years. They have such flexible scheduling. Most of the time if I didn’t want a shift I would put it up sometimes even a couple hours in advance and someone would always pick it up. There’s also availability from 7am-4am some days I wouldn’t come in til 10 pm and I liked that. I loved all my managers and everyone there wanted to work and learn more and if they didn’t they wouldn’t last. They do expect a lot out of their employees but it makes for a better working environment. It’s the cleanest place I’ve ever worked at that’s their number one priority you have to be willing to detail clean every single day but it’s very much worth it. It’s the best place I’ve ever worked.

Terrible management

The mangers sit around and do nothing. They forget to send you on your breaks, then when you ask for one look upset. They constantly switch up your schedule and never have it be the same

The location varies in terms of what kind experience any given worker has. Mostly bad.

I have been with the company for over 3 years. The beginning was a amazing time. My boss was outstanding and the culture and atmosphere was at a all time high. That amazing feeling went away as quickly as it came. When moving to Florida, to get promoted, you have to essentially be "friends" with your superior or at least very close (unprofessionally) to get what you want, when you want. There is no merit system and there is no order when it comes to working at a canes restaurant. Hard work will not pay off when attempting to get promoted nor be at the very least recognised. More specifically the Miami Beach location. I was sold a dream and given a nightmare that will be a bad taste in my mouth for a very long time. The management team does not value it's workers nor customers. The HR department is biased to a extent as to what final verdicts are for staff and will do what they can to make the superior manager not take any "heat" in the process. Along with not maintaining safety and respect for any given employee working at that given facility. I have never seen, experience, nor heard about a job that is as toxic and cruel as this certain location in my life. I would recommend the company as a alright job to apply for, but my only advice would to be to put a lot of research into what happens at the location. But, if anyone were have to choose between Raising Canes or another work place, I would hands down choose the other job.

Cliquey environment

The overall environmental was very cliquey and was hard to get crew to follow policy. Pay was good but no work life balance and management above is poor.

Stressful work Environment

I felt so exploited working here. 1) They were severely understaffed, so anyone working here was expected to do many jobs at once. I would be taking orders, handing out food AND making drinks. There was never a time I was only doing one task. There were very high expectations for being a minimum wage job. 2) You only get 10 minute breaks. After being expected to do 5 tasks at once, you would think they would allow you to have a 15 minute breaks. But no. They overworked us so much. 3) Most of the managers were so unhelpful and did nothing. 4) Scheduling is SO bad. My schedule was never consistent and they always had me stay later then I was scheduled, even if I told them I had to leave when I was scheduled to get off. They asked me to come in nearly everyday because it was so understaffed. I also never got paid for my sick hours that I did not use.

Great experience would actually work there again. Best fast food job I’ve ever worked for.

What is the best part of working at the company?The team and management were great! Good place, scheduling is eh

This is a good restaurant to work at for anyone. Very easy menu, learning experience, and different positions you can switch on. Depends on locations you can have good managers and coworkers. Decent pay but can have movement to go up some more with certifications. Hours are very random each week. You are not guaranteed certain amount of hours and can't go over 40 hrs at all.

good community

I did enjoy my time working at Cane's. The crew is great and the vibes are always positive. I will say it is extremely busy and very fast paced. I did not feel that my pay was worth the effort that I put in, as I often had to do multiple positions and other peoples jobs. They are very strict with their policies as well and will make it seem like your fault if something goes wrong. Management was never all that.

Productive and fun workplace

Days go by very fast, managers and coworkers are nice and make you feel welcomed from the start! Different opportunities for pay to go up which is a plus!

Fast paced

Good first job. Fast paced and need to be able to multitask. Super fun to work with everyone as a team but can be toxic if your managers suck. Other than that you should be okay

Fun Culture

They really do a great job of employee appreciation with fun seasonal events, lots of swag, lots of snacks, drinks, specialty coffees, and a candy bar.

fun place to work at

mostly enjoyable for a teen/part time student, not so much as an adult with actual bills but is a fun job non the less. everyone is interactive and social gatherings are common.

Great environment

Great environment, with plenty of office benefits for employees. They have free snacks, drinks, and scooters that you can ride around the office. Many fun traditions to follow as well.

Terrible and stressful job

A typical day at raising canes is dealing with rude customers and managers who don't wanna do their job so they put everything on you. They make last minute changes and never tell you. We don't get lunch breaks unless we work over 8 hours while the managers get to sit in the office and do nothing. The pay is terrible for all the work you have to do and at any moment they will fire you because they felt Ike it.

mixed feelings

I love working for Raising Canes. but I feel as if some Restaurant leaders do not care for their team. I am constantly overworked and often under appreciated. They seem to contradict themselves by asking us to communicate issues and when issues are communicated, become defensive and do not improve issues. Overall, the canes environment is great. But the management teams I’ve worked with personally were not the best team.

nice work place

all of the employees are usually a great time to be around, job is pretty simplistic and the pay is very decent, if you know your stuff you could be promoted to a certified trainer

Fun but not enough hours

Job is very fun and everyone gets along as treats each other like family. Not enough hours though and not much overtime offered. Have to have open availability which sucks you can’t have a set schedule.
