Rivian has horrible middle management, but the guys in my department are good people. Work starts at 640A and ends at 640P. There is a lot of learning that you're going to have to do if hired on, although it's easy.

Non productive and a miserable place to work . All lies.

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing good.unorganized chaos. A 52 year old experienced man is not welcomed there. Most non professional outfit I have ever worked at. No truth. All lies. Preducise. I am embarrassed to have worked there.. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Trying to be a team member. I was not given a chance to learn and grow. Preducise because I am a white straight male. Most unprofessional place I have ever experienced.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Your skill set does not matter. Poor leadership

This company has extremely high expectations for very little reward. Numerous inconsistencies and management is not very helpful when you have questions. If you choose to work here be prepared to allow people to treat you however they want. Do not go in with the expectation that they follow the core values because they do not.

I enjoy working at Rivian.

I enjoy working at Rivian and meeting new people. The company is fairly new so as an employee there’s room for growth, however the work life balance needs to be reevaluated. Went from working 1 Saturday a month to working 3 Saturday’s a month.

low paid grinder job

low pay and grueling hrs and shift rules. Toxic coworkers and metrics apply randomly. So many high line workers no wonder the panel gaps are wide as the grand canyon. all good fun if you're one of the elite hipsters/ not so much if you're in any other position

Great place to make good money and grow within

What is the best part of working at the company?Pay and benefits are great at start it's $22/hr a great job and you get raises every 6 months for 5 years.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The hourd are very long. Most overtime is given at a instance notice. Family 30% Work 70%What is the work environment and culture like at the company?It is a okay. Sloppy and fun

The place didn’t make sense sometimes like shutdowns that would last 5 hours and not sending employees home. Other than that friendly managers. It’s impossible to get fired here unless you lick windows for sport so there’s that factor.

Amazing work environment!

Everyone here is phenomenal! I started out here recently and immediately started to get to know the crews and how everything is done at this location! They have the most friendliest staff and I honestly could not think of any other job that would be better then the one I have here!!

Worst job I’ve ever had as far as management.

That place will go under in less than 3 years if it doesn’t get better managers. They are all on a huge ego trip at the expense of their teams morale and never for the advancement of the company

Terrible place to work and bad management

I've worked here a year and my schedule has changed 4 times and now it's 6 days a week forced. Management is so worried about its numbers they don't care about the workers. RJ makes 37 million a month for what? I worry about the companies future

Great place!

Great pay and benefits! I would highly recommend Rivian to anyone wanting a career type job with fair management. I have been very happy with my time there.

Battery Production, BORING!!!!!

I was very excited to start working @ Rivian @ first, start a whole new career making vehicles. The excitement wow. Now, here I am right back looking for another career (the disappointment) If you end up in the Battery Production Area be prepared for a lot of down time. Machines beeping CONTINUOUSLY…bcuz they are ALWAY breaking down. Oh yea…once you are in the battery production area your stuck unless your promoted to another area that you applied for which is NOT all that easy from what I see & here. Due to recent changes for overnight shift. 12hr shifts are changing to 5-6 8hr days now.

great employees to work with

1. no family time2. 10 hour days; 6 days a week3. favoritism played for positions. like tech, maint, team lead.4. bed bugs on fork trucks over 3 times5. employee got physical with me and didnt get fired. and still had to work with him.

Sell you the dream.

I got hired on as a contractor. Worked here for 10 months only to be told I was being let go 3 days before my contract ended after receiving an almost perfect score on thier quarterly audit. I was told it was due to budget reasons that they could not bring me on full time. They sold me the dream. Over worked me and let me go.

Only come here if you're desperate

No one cares about you and everyone lies about what your hours and job will be. Prepare to be overworked and treated like you don't matter. Pay is the only okay thing and even that could be better. No work life balance.

Great place to work

Medium call volume , and great management. Very mindful of all walks of life and will train you amazingly . I would recommend anyone to this institution.

Horrible Company

This is a horrible company filled with narcisistic managers whose only interest is to play the game of politics. None of your work will go noticed unless you brown nose at the same time. Management all the way up is friends of friends who are unqualified for their positions but keep them due to their friends. If you want to be beat down and worked until you have nothing left then this is the play for you. Don't worry you'll likely be punished for the good work you do by losing more and more compensation through "changes". Overall horrible company to work for and I'd never recommend it to anyone.

terrible management

spent my time in pilot teams, no clear direction. management wants you breathe, live, eat and be rivian at all times. no sense of accountability. project management drops the ball and no one is to blame but the technicians when the builds aren't completed in a timely manner. poor logistical support. the pay is amazing, but the work is extremely slow. management will micromanage you even if there isn't anything to do, but will not allow you to go home early. is started out well, but theyre poor in managing their workforce. overqualified for the work youre going to be doing so you will be bored and unmotivated, but dont let management see that or they will start monotoring you and give your bad quarterly reviews about poor attitude and not being all smiles and cheers. dont ask questions and do as your told if you do, youre not being a team player. great pay and it could be a great company, but you feel like you're walking on eggshells most of the time.

Good people

I've enjoyed the opportunity to help build the company. As expected with the company going through rapid growth, there have been challenges, but I appreciate the way leadership has handled it and continues to learn.

Challenging work in an innovative and mission-driven company. Overall, I've been happy with my decision to move to Rivian. I've been on multiple teams since joining all led by competent and supportive leadership.

Terrible Policies & Management/Not Family Friendly

Do not have a family, do not have any medical issues, enjoy working 6 days a week, and ask no questions. If that is you, then Rivian is the perfect labor camp for you.
