horrendous work environment

I worked at two sonics to be fair and they were both different, however working at both had one thing in common, i was doing way too much for there to be a whole crew there too.

not reliable

It’s an easy job but pay is not enough even when you get good tips. Can be really stressful but sometimes you just stand around. Not enough hours. Good job if you’re still in school.

was okay

tips were really good most days, but didn’t get a break even on long shifts and was worked to the point of health issue flare ups on some occasions, could be better but money is money

Fun place to work, very over worked

Worked a lot of hours at 16 and they do not follow child labor laws/find ways to get around it. Very fast paced and the pay is not worth the stress. Good coworkers, decent management with poor communication skills

Fun workplace and productive

A great place to learn new things and grow. A great first time job and a good social place to thrive. Very friendly people and easy job once you get everything down.

Good employees but upper management sucks.

Management is overworked and underpaid. Crew received very little training and expected to do too much. Shifts for crew are too short for the distance.

Fast paced, high turn over

Was an ok place but the upper management turn over was unreal. Everyone above store level seemed to be related but not have the necessary experience or skills to succeed leading to a poor long term option

Not a good place to work

Maybe good for high schoolers or if you need a quick job but not worth making it into a career they don't really care about you and are not fair with their choices I feel as the food industry is the worse career choice they have in America especially Sonic.

Productive in fun place to work

Its ok as long as you get everything out time keep customer happy it's a good day it's Pretty simple work just have to make it to work to get the money

Fun

I liked the store, the mangers were ok sometimes, but it would get very chaotic and everybody was over the place. But other then that it was fun to work there people were funny.

It's alright

you work hard for low wages while everyone else goofing off and laughing while your in the kitchen stressing because your the only person in there with a hundred orders. But you get respect for being a cook.

it’s ok

The pay is ok but it’s a lot of work you have to do sometimes alone. Good starting job although it is stressful if you can’t work quickly. You have to memorize the drinks and get them out fast. Not that hard tbh. The management is ok depending on where you are.

Great people to work with but no training program in place. Money is ok, not a lot of people tip anymore. Your basic fast food joint basically. Good first job

Needs upgrade, New Management

I Alexandria an ex employee now, it was not easy working in this environment as well as not getting the right amount of money I should have been receiving i have always loved sonic since I was a child but working for them as an adult for 8 months was difficult I couldn't breathe properly on that floor, they were gonna have one person me clean up the old nasty grout the whole December, Employees are smoking 🚬 vape pens an daps inside the store or bathrooms.

Ok first job

Honestly i was working crazy hours here at 16 for $2.13 an hour plus tips but the customers couldnt tip on the card so basically id just make $7.25 bc theyd have to bump up on my checks since the tips were so bad… but i didnt have bills so it was okay lol

Very professional and easy going

Depending on the position your hired for. A CarHop takes orders, makes drinks, and delivers the orders. I learned how fast paced of a work environment it is. Management is easy to talk to. The culture of the workplace is adverse. I honestly didn't think any part of the job was difficult. The most enjoyable part was making customers happy.

Management needs work

A typical day at work starts by clocking in then you immediately jump in and start doing stuff . Anywhere from making drinks to taking orders . I believe I learned a lot about customer service and how to try to keep a positive attitude from my other co workers around me . Management was unprofessional. They would schedule themselves to work with eachother then no other shifts would be able to have a decent crew and still manage to keep labor at a decent number . They would have 3 managers and a GM working the same shifts sometimes. the general manager was rude and disrespectful to staff . A very big ego . hired just about anyone and they would end up quitting or being fired a week or so later .
