Able to work from home. Encouraged to go into office once a week. Great manager and leadership. I work on a great team, and my work is manageable. I would recommend.

Not my favorite company

Not a great company. Seems like one when you get the sales pitch, but it really isn't. Almost every department is incompetent and it is impossible to get anything done.

Go here if you really have to.

Delusional expectations, bad management, hit or miss supervisors, clique mentalities, coworkers can screw you over whether it be overworking the machine or calling off days forcing mandatory work days even up to a full month of 12 hour shifts. Some jobs are very easy would advise sticking to them if you work here.. its a paycheck

Eh

It’s really hit or miss. It’s crazy hot in the summer and freezing in winter. Most of the workers are decent but management is wishy washy. The only good thing about the wire is the pay.

good

good pay good job I absolutely loved this game. Every single level was packed with action, fun, and problem-solving. The developers did a great job at balancing out the difficulty and the fun in this game. I passed this game multiple times and I would do it again. The storyline is subtle but contributes to the game. I honestly would love a sequel or new levels added to the game even in 2021. For those of you wondering, yes you can play with 1 other player which makes the game great for mother and daughter or father and son gaming time and no, you cannot play online. This game did not waste my 20 dollars

Overworked

The place was unprofessional. Management played favoritism with the employees and never gave credit for the hard work you put in. They also would put 1 person on a 2 people machine. I would not work here again.

Relaxing and productive workplace. If you do your job, no one bothers you

I have worked here for a year and a half. Survived 9 months of nights before making it to days. I enjoy the work that I do as well as learning new techniques. The hours are long, but the work is easy, if you keep up with it. I hope to continue my career with Southwire for years to come.

good place good fit, well paying good people good leadership for employees including down south and other locations. other palnts closing but not georgia they are staying open all the time evn though this thing is getting to long i only wanted to read all the rviews and it wont let me till i wrote a bunch of silly stuff for the revuew.

Was a good place to work

Long days and might let you go for something that’s out of your control would not go back for anything .good money some great coworkers stay out of management way or you will be on their list to get you out door

Stress! Stress! Stress!

Many years into this company, Started off with being watched at everything you do so, I switched to different plants thinking things would get better but no, watched breaks, cant leave work area for break having to eat meals at work area (every plant has their own set of rules), I was tricked into a position that I've actually grown to love and did very well and guess what they stripped my position from me, deducted my pay, and transferred me to another plant , and when you try to speak to someone with higher authority they give you the run around, this job will promise you great insights, benefits, pay, just beware of its unprofessional-ism and I'm highly disappointed. For a multi billion dollar company you would think they would treat their workers with respect and dignity. Instead you are forced to take whatever job they give you or resign. I can say more but what disappointed me the most was learning the multiple machines and moving up on the floor in the plant just to be treated like someone of no value.

Great leadership

I worked there for about seven years. Coworkers as well as management was closer than family. Very accomodatimg when a circumstance would arise with schedule.

Good, but demanding

Southwire is a good place to work, fair compensation, decent management. The only real downside is overtime can come at the drop off a hat and the attendance policy/corporate policies are very strict.

Productive and a great working environment

This is a great job to work at, with a bunch of benefits and a good flexible shift with communication, and they also provide excellent training for new employees.

If your thinking about it just don't

This is my experience and opinion after 2.5 years of employment. You will be expected to cover vacations so look forward to an 80 hr work weeks not limited to 20 days straight if someone abruptly quits and they don't have coverage. Mind you these are 12 hr shifts. They will bounce you from dayshift to nightshift if they need you there. Blame it on being short staffed. In all reality it's management's inability to hire competent people. When you take paternity leave they will NOT change your schedule so those 80 hrs will be burnt up in a week and a half. (I believe since then the hrs allowed for paternity leave have gone up since then) All in all in my experience this company is not for the people. Your voice will not be heard and they will punish you for standing up for yourself and setting boundaries.

Very productive workplace and coworkers

Working at Southwire is a breeze. Although you’re there 40 hours a week, pto (paid time off) helps a lot. Holidays should be done with your family southwire makes that happen. Southwire also has flex, vacation, and floating holidays. Those are days that you can take off whenever you need a day without getting a point and you may also get paid for them. We have great programs and we also have a gym we can go to daily with no cost to us.
