Not everything they say is true and very little time off , alright environment would be way better as a full time associate because you get more time off

Question I’m a temp thru cti went to direct hire and was turned away Saturday why are other folks being offered FT with no experience and I’ve been there almost a year trying to get hired HR is no help should I get an attorney

Things need to change!

Working 9.7 hours a day. Work every other Saturdays. Only get 5 pto days a year and you can’t drop your attendance below 99%!!! Always plan on working 9.7 hrs a day you can never count on being off until 4:12pm. U start at 6am which that doesn’t bother a lot of people. People abuse FMLA, it’s out of control. Which I don’t blame them, because you are working all the time and what you put your body through. Company makes highest percentage of their cars than any other car company. But they pay their employees middle to low end of the market. You make ok money but that’s because you work 58hrs a week. Pro’s you get a week shutdown off at Xmas and 4th of July. Xmas bonus which is tax a lot!

Nice benefits, hard work

Subaru isn't a bad company to work for. They're not good either, but they're but the worst in the area. Pay is about top of what you'll find for entry level. If you're new, you'll end up in Trim, and it's definitely a whole new level of effort and energy that most people aren't expecting. There's a reason why retention is so low. 99% attendance policy and you don't get your second week of vacation until year 10. Don't let them fool you though, they're desperate for employees because of their horrible management policies.

Not Everything They Promise

When you start working here they’ll preach about ergonomic and safety practices and how much Subaru cares about their employees. However very little of this is actually implemented once you’re working on the line. The associate representatives, group leaders and team leaders often have person relationships with one another and systematically disregard associates’ rights. If you happen to get hurt, you’ll likely be retaliated against for reporting it. If the team leader doesn’t like you or your race you’ll be scheduled on the jobs no one else wants to do and you’ll likely have poor job rotation. Of course this is just my personal experience but I can see why SIA has such poor employee retention despite the pay and benefits being good.

I have a job! I work lots of hours.

Good place to work, good money,benefits and insurance! Christmas bonus, free gifts. Other then that it's a free for all. If you have small children and everyone goes to 2nd shift you will miss a lot of things.

Decent place but great pay and benefits.

A day at work usually consists of arriving and waiting until shift start. You have 4-5 quarters where you rotate your jobs based on what you know. Most of what I learned there consist of communication and understanding another persons wording and phrases. The management can be anywhere from lacking to outstanding. Most team leaders put their team first and so do most group leaders. The hardest part of the job can be the hours. At maximum being 10 hours for 6 days out of 7. This rarely happens however. Most days are 8-9 and Saturday production happens ever other Saturday. The most enjoyable part can be the jobs you learn. I liked most of my jobs except a few. I bet you can find a job there you’d rather work above all others you’ve learned.

The pay way reasonable and the people I worked with

I was a fork lift operator in body shop delivering parts to the production line. Most enjoyable was the people I worked with I was there 26 years. I was a team leader for 7 years.

Poor Managment

Managment has no regard for associate wellbeing despite claiming its a priority. They will do everything in their power to insure they look good on paper even if that means breaking down they're associates.

Production worker

Good place to work! It is pretty fast paced but you get used to it. And the money is good, also great benefits. The hardest part was the hours. But other than the I enjoyed working for Subaru.

Trim shop… good luck.

Trim shop is tan like a prison camp. It is relentlessly never ending. They are constantly looking to catch anyone not leading by example. And the worst is if you need to and ask to go to the restroom, you’re on their time. They might be able to get you to the restroom in about an hour or so. The longest I’ve had to “hold it” was an excruciating 1 hour and 20 min after asking. Other than the bad it’s a great place to break your back, you will definitely end up with some sort of skeletal issue after years of being treated like a number.

Excellent place to work

Work was demanding, but paid well. Benefits were free. There were some terrible co-workers but most of them were easy to get along with. I worked in 4 different departments. Each area I was able to learn alot

i never had any issues working there pay was good and the treated everyone even temps fair and they made you feel like you apart of the team even the regular employees welcomed newcomers

I love to see the car go from nothing to a complete car. The process is very interesting.

The group leaders & team leaders are respectful and approachable if you have any concerns. What is a typical day like for you at the company?I do 5 different jobs so every 2 hours I switch. I do quality inspections. I look for water leaks as well as make sure all of the seatbelts , lights , bolts are properly working.

Great Place to work. Medium level pay

The pay used to be awesome but now its just about par. The AC is always cold in summer and warm during the winter. Get all the OT you want in areas that are low on manning.
