Not great, but good to get some money in. No real connection with co workers, kind of a stand there and exist job. Could be worse, but dealing with difficult customers and no management near by to help is hard.

Good Team, Hit and Miss Management

Started out alright. Soon the cracks in the store started to show as people left and little was done to replace them. Work load was 'usually' high to impossible. Training is in department by another team member. Team members were chill and generally a pleasure to work around. Management, hoo boy. The chain of command is an utter disaster. Multiple managers will give you something to do instead of going through the chain of command. Which leads to management who are clueless about what goes on in your department ruining your work week. Some managers were hostile and let the authority of their positions go to their heads. Had to console a few team members due to these managers. I do have to say there WERE managers it was a pleasure to work with/for. Still, there felt like there was an utter lack of urge to take responsibility for failing departments/overwhelming workloads/safety issues. Oh yeah, they were pushing safety on everybody while I worked there. It wasn't all that safe to work in my department to be honest.

bad job, bad pay

Fun Workplace

Just started working here and I love it. Everyone is very nice and helpful. My favorite thing about coming in to work is the staff. No one there is toxic or gives you dirty looks. Very friendly work place.

Good pay for what the work is

Read the title, the job is simple and the pay is above minimum wage. Sure not all your coworkers will be a treat to deal with every day, but the work environment is just good enough to be bearable for a part time job.

Great people, tons of work

I worked in the fulfillment department, which was usually understaffed. When it wasn't though, I was juggled around to other understaffed positions depending on what they needed me for. Through this, I bonded with my co-workers in a similar manner to soldiers during wartime, ESPECIALLY on holidays. They were really kind and helpful. But if you're not a fan of being stressed, Target probably isn't the place to work.

Its easy work if you a have a good ethic but it's an old facility and management sucks wouldn't recommend this job for long term employment good benefits tho

No loyalty

Trained kids that have no loyalty to the customer service values. It’s all about customer service. And how the incorporate everyone’s input to make the company run efficiently and complying with workplace laws.

draining, but pays very well

i spend most of the days stocking the shelves. i work in GM and Fullfillment, and it isn’t half bad, but the managers are very persistent on pushing their stress onto their other employees. The pay is very good though, so if you get in id take it for a bit.

Typical Warehouse Work

Decent place to work. Simple. Work hard, get paid. Only complaint is they were super slow last peak season and wasn't getting the 40 hours fulltimers should get.

Worked there during my summer break from college, good environment and coworkers. Pay was great but a little difficult to request off sometimes. Interview process was also pretty simple and fast.

Laid back, not really good pay. There's a weird dynamic with coworkers, but everyone stays to themselves. management did try to help and teach people new stuff

Great coworkers and even management, not so great support

Like any work place, could have good or bad workers, I saw both. The biggest issue is management and if they are really nice and or efficient. The amount of work you have to do can vary, but be prepared to remember everyday on the job how understaffed your team is. You will ask this question daily.

Not terrible, not great

Very high expectations with a skeleton crew. Managers can be cool but depends. However, if working inbound, definitely feels underpaid for the workload.

Horrible job with horrible management

Horrible horrible ETL leaders and leads. They talk to you with so much disrespect it’s insane. If you miss a goal in any way even if it’s not your fault your immediately scolded and called out to be humiliated on the walkies. No one there wants to help you or even talks to you. HR doesn’t even help or care about how your being treated at all. At least for the location I was at. Overall would not recommend just for the simple fact that your no one compared to members that have been there for years or unless your in with management.

Hectic yet occasionally fun

There is no work life balance. Expect to never have a consistent schedule. Management is supportive on occasion but HR is a disaster. I would only work here if you needed it for a resume

Decent

pretty decent for part time. can be overworked especially for the pay. Heavy freight loads delivered almost everyday which can make the backroom very messy and hard to work with.

Difficult and unfair workplace

A typical day at Target can be literally anything because even if you signed up for one section of the store, they make you do other things too which take up a large amount of time. For me, my position is a seasonal Tech sales associate for the holidays, even though I applied to do Tech, literally everyday is Anything BUT. Im always told to restock shelves which I did NOT sign up for, I understand every once in a while but being asked to do it every day is not my cup of tea. The work environment is fast pace and (for me) it’s difficult to keep up with the speed, especially when starting out. It seems that for managers, it depends. some of them are very understanding, while others are rude. At the Target I work for, I hardly see my manager, but I’m constantly interacting with my supervisors which have been understandable and helpful. As a Target employee, you can get a 10% discount on all items in the store (excluding Alcohol & Tobacco products) and a 20% off wellness products like fruits and vegetables. The only thing that disappoints me is that you can only qualify for the employee discount if you have a Target Red Card OR pay with cash. Also, you have to have an employee discount card to receive the discount. I think Target is a great first job, however, for someone in their 20s it’s definitely not a good job, in fact, I would only recommend it for high school teenagers who absolutely love Target and want a fast pase environment with minimum wage base pay and part-time work.
