If you have a family an or kids us foods is not the place for that. We go in at 4pm and are not off until the work is complete. The hardest part of the job is working overnight

Good money hard work good 401k match 6 figures easy 14hour days but overall a good job with yearly raises home time good when having your own route …

Hard work

Good benefits and union job. Long hours, never an 8 hour shift and there’s always new management. People here are good employees. Pay raise every year which is a plus

Not fun work place

They like to change routes for certain drivers and make new guys leave late morning so they don’t get back until early-late evening the pay is good but treatment is not I really like bri g treated fairly but definitely not the case working for them

Proceed with caution

There is new management who does not know the company or how the system works… They are not gone tell the people above them they need training which is killing the employment turn over rate… If management was trained properly then they would know the system and how it works instead of letting employees get fired… They have only hired 1 new hire in the last 6 months which should tell you everything you need to know!!! If you have no other options I say try if you have any other option please choose that option!!!

Fast pace

Its a fast paced place to work. Some people get some people don't. Be ready to work hard and never be home, this place keeps you busy even during the holidays.

It’s a young man’s game not for the 40 and above

What is the best part of working at the company?Good pay and you go to work about 3 am but get off about 3-4 pm. Leaving you time to do business in town if needed. But be prepared. You will hand unload with a two wheeler 12-20000lbs a day and 15-20 stops. It is a very hard manual labor jobWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Long hours and very hard manual labor. Unloading 12-2000bs a day and up to 20 stops and driving 300 miles And we run no matter the weather. Sleet freezing rain snow tornadoes it don’t matter. We run. It’s good money. But be prepared to work in adverse conditions What is the work environment and culture like at the company?You work with great guys. Everyone tries to help one another at finding new stops and dealing with issues The company is always working to save money and can be rediculas You can drive 300 miles and unload 20 stops and 700 cases and hear. What took you so long. Seriously! What is a typical day like for you at the company?Rediculas It’s usually more than a person can do in a day. But you are there to the end. Even if you run out of drive time. They will bring someone out to drive while you unload. And your next day route will be waiting on you

Long 23 years broke my back on the job and got fired because I couldn’t do my job after

What is the best part of working at the company?The hour early start with overtime What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The bosses dont know what they are doing. They tell you what to do then when it is wrong they blame you for it

Great place to work and the company takes care of everyone bbq and annual things they do for community plus management is with you every step of the way

Every man for themselves

Not very organized. The work is long and hard. The pay is good but it barely justifies the lack of organization. Supplies necessary for the job are often missing or limited.

Sucks

This job sucks no help 1000 pieces to unload by yourself a day ridiculous time schedules long hours your knees will be hurting going up and down the ramp all day long supervisors will lie on your evaluation so you don’t get raises or your bonuses

Great place to work

Great benefits, culture and leadership.. the company continues to grow and thrive. Hard industry but this company stands on top. If youmare lucky enough to get hired, enjoy a long career.

On call/as needed sucks

Being a utility driver you have no schedule and don’t have a route everything is based on seniority Routes OT truck assignments etc…. Be prepared to be on call for at least 1.5 year for an opportunity to get a route

Don't bother

Us foods is not a place to work. There is no career advancement and the managers do not care about their employees. Unfortunately, Us foods is more worried about meeting their numbers at all cost.

Hard

They can not keep anybody, new hires every week. Work long back breaking hours. We have to have outside people come in to help us get through the night

Def not what I thought

I got fired when my mom was in the hospital after letting them, they don't care once you get your 3 points your out. Everyone is expendable to them, they have new hires every week and most of them won't stay. Terrible place to work.

Don’t be a *****. Or if you are, look like a ***. Hear it’s still doing pretty bad. Great drivers. Good people mad management. HR was horrible also.

good job if you have a strong back. Early start time route is usually loaded and you go deliver 500-900 boxes to restaurants. customers are generally nice. But hard work based on the way the trucks are loaded\

Overworked while walking on eggshells

The culture at US Foods has changed dramatically since I started. There seems to be constant layoffs every year or two. The work left by this is dumped on the ones who are kept with no extra compensation other than getting to keep your job. Constantly cutting corners to save a buck and overworking employees. The room for advancement has almost disappeared. You can no longer make a career here. Too many good employees let go or leave for better companies. Things really changed when our company went public. I’ve never seen morale this low since we got our new CEO

Great culture

Great culture - Great Pay structure - New leadership is making great changes. Work hours remain very long for all supply chain associates. Customer are always first but at times at the sacrifice of employees.
