Field Service Technician (Robotics)

In this position, you will provide technical support for Robotics Customer Service in Robotics & Discrete Automation, Service & Digital Platform in Bursa, Turkiye, delivering superior, professional service, remotely or on-site. Your hands-on experience and knowledge of customer needs will help you not only to build strong customer relationships, but also to actively identify and develop new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Execute Service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers,
  • Performs Service tasks, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.,
  • Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation,
  • Creates and maintains a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifies new sales opportunities and communicates them internally,
  • Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative,
  • Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Provides recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.

Your background

  • Vocational degree in Mechatronic, Mechanic, Control or Electric/Electronics,
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in robotics or automation,
  • Knowledge of industrial robot operations and servo systems, including electrical and software interfaces,
  • Preferably have process knowledge in one or more disciplines – paint, welding, material handling, press automation or picking/packing/palletizing applications,
  • Preferably have a working knowledge of control systems, I/O, PLC and bus communication,
  • Experience in ABB Robots is a plus,
  • Experience in off-line robot programming and simulation packages (Robot Studio) is a plus,
  • Good command of written & spoken English,
  • Turkish knowledge is a must,
  • Teamwork oriented profile with strong interpersonal skills,
  • Having a valid driving license & no obstacle for traveling.
